There’s more on offer at new Milan restaurant The Manzoni than the menu – everything inside the Tom Dixon-designed eatery is for sale.
Having soft-launched during Milan Design Week last month, the 100-cover restaurant opens to the public this month on Via Manzoni, near the city’s famous Teatro alla Scala.
Interiors are by Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio and feature a mint green twist on the brand’s usual industrial aesthetic. Subway tiles are offset by rugged concrete and steel finishes and marble accents, while a granite slab bar anchors the space.
The Manzoni doubles as a showroom for the brand and furniture, from tables and chairs to candleholders and glassware, is all available to purchase as part of the shoppable dining experience.
The Milan outpost follows on the heels of Dixon’s recent relocation to the Coal Drop Yards in London, where he opened a restaurant, showroom and offices.
