Italian design meets Scandi minimalism at Villa Puglia – a crumbling, rustic farmhouse renovated by Studio Toff as a sleek monochrome holiday home in Puglia’s picturesque Valle d’Itria.
The Ceglie farmhouse and its agricultural buildings have been revived as a three-bedroom villa and guesthouse by the Dutch practice, which specialises in adaptive reuse and renovation projects infused with a Nordic flavour.
A Dutch-tiled hallway leads into the white-washed living and dining area, which features vaulted ceilings and a series of doors and windows that peek onto the Italian holiday home’s courtyard and olive grove. The yard is connected to the kitchen and serves as an alfresco dining area, while the 17,000 sq m garden has a heated swimming pool, terraces, an outdoor kitchen and around 120 mature trees.
Villa Puglia is currently rented out as a holiday let and has been fully booked since launching in summer 2019.
It’s now being offered for sale via Welcome Beyond, with price available on application. Contents of the villa are also available for an additional sum (to be negotiated separately) with mod cons including underfloor heating, solar panels, while furniture inside the 173 sq m Puglian holiday home has a Scandinavian bent.
