This Glydafa hotel evokes the heyday of the Athenian Riviera

Located on a sandy stretch of beachfront in the glitzy southern Athens suburb of Glyfada, the One&Only Aesthesis hotel channels laidback, vintage glamour.

London design studio Muza Lab oversaw the Greek hotel’s interiors, mixing retro pieces with flashes of colour and a palette of natural materials. Wood figures heavily used in furniture and room panelling and paired with marble and stone.

Muza Lab’s use of a rich, royal blue calls to mind the iconic roofs of Santorini, although, for One&Only Aesthesis, it’s been channelled into graphic artworks, sunlounger cushions and striped parasols. Guests can check into villas with their own decks and pools or rooms with private terraces and a distinctly midcentury feel.

Guests can also rent one of the hotel’s yachts for a day of sailing on the Aegean Sea, join a Greek sandal-making workshop or soak up some treatments in the hotel spa. Rooms start around £650 per night, going up to £10,000 for standalone villas.
