Studiotoff’s Puglian idyll Villa Sesana is for sale

Just bring your suitcase

The late summer sun casts a golden glow across the whitewashed walls of Villa Sesana, designed by Studiotoff on the outskirts of Ostuni, Apulia.

The picturesque Italian villa is the latest project from the Dutch studio, which previously completed Villa Ostuni and Villa Puglia. Like its siblings, the Italian property is considered a gesamtkunstwerk, offered for sale with everything down to the furniture and art, packing a thoughtful dose of Mediterranean minimalism.

Studiotoff drew inspiration from the whitewashed structures that dot the countryside to craft the 115 sq m holiday home’s cubic volumes. The compact kitchen features a dramatic veined marble backsplash that injects a burst of colour and texture into the restrained palette, while a long dining table (seating up to six) doubles as a prep island and flows to the garden via a folding ‘pass-through’ window.

Outside, a 40 sq m outdoor infinity pool makes the most of the Puglian property’s elevated position. Take a dip before retiring to the shaded pergola to enjoy the terrific views – an ideal spot for dining al fresco or escaping the peak midday sun while catching a breeze. There is also an outdoor kitchen with a grill and sink for dinner parties and casual gatherings, complemented by gentle landscaping that integrates the property into its quaint, sleepy setting.

The sleeping quarters comprise three double bedrooms with beautiful vaulted brick ceilings – a contrast to the stark modern geometry of the living room – accompanied by two modern bathrooms featuring marble sinks and bespoke ‘painted’ mirrors.

Villa Sesana is for sale directly through Studiotoff, priced at €785,000. It’s a perfect launch pad for exploring the Puglian countryside, with Ostuni just a ten-minute drive away. It can also work for its keep, potentially as a profitable Airbnb or holiday let.
