// Athens Olympic Sports Complex // I had been wanting to see this place for a long time. After finishing work one day last summer, I finally took that 2-hour trip across the city and Calatrava's redesign of the Olympic Sports Complex (2004) did not disappoint. While it had actually fallen into some state of disrepair after die Olympic Games, it was far from an abandoned ghost complex. A lot of people were cycling, skating and running there or just enjoying the evening sun surrounded by a futuristic landscape. I thought that the modern Agora composed of 100 steel arches was particularly impressive. ?
