Had the pleasure of shooting this Victorian era artist’s studio in Chelsea for the @wsj recently. I was briefed to photograph all the rooms in the house but may have lingered in this one for longer than the rest ?. • This artist’s studio used to belong to Anna Massey Lea Merritt who in 1890- if I have my facts straight – is the first woman to have her work in Tate Britain.
