It feels like Groundhog Day in the music video for Adelphi Music Factory’s new track ‘Javelin’. The film by London-based director Fanny Hoetzeneder follows a boy running through the post-war architecture of Sheffield’s Landsdowne Estate on his way to choir practice.
‘I liked the Landsdowne Estate’s colours, shapes and its openness,’ says Hoetzeneder. ‘There’s no private access: it’s all open and connected and that was the kind of architecture we wanted to use as the backdrop of our running sequence. It really paints a strong portrait of Sunday morning in Sheffield.’
The interiors of the twin-spired, Grade II-listed Cemetery Road Baptist Church also features heavily in the music video.
