You could say this diminutive London pad is pure folly – that’s the inspiration behind its frond-covered interior stylings by interior designer Neil McLachlan. The Bloomsbury bolthole sits inside an Art Deco apartment complex from the 1930s, in what was formerly the janitor’s workshop. Its light industrial use means it has three enormous skylights that floor its interiors with light. McLaughlan has dressed the space in a maximalist print by Mind the Gap which playfully evokes the steel-framed windows of a Victorian glasshouse.

Le Corbusier-designed duplex in Marseille
