For Tel Aviv’s first Biennale of Craft and Design Israeli practice Magenta Workshop has built a stainless steel igloo outside the city’s Erez Israel museum.

Based on the traditional Inuit snow dwellings, E-gloo is handmade from stainless steel to reflect and distort its surroundings in its shiny panes. The project intends to comment on vanishing traditions and to spotlight how ancient construction methods can work with new technologies and materials.
