London’s Milk Beach Soho transports city dwellers to the Aussie coast

It might be located in the heart of Soho, but this London restaurant embraces the kind of laid back design more often found in a beach club.
Local studio A-nrd designed the space, choosing colours and materials that evoke memories of the seaside. The polished terrazzo floor calls to mind trips across the golden sand, while the pale pink walls are reminiscent of the soft, sunset light of the coast.

The studio has been careful to avoid cliché however, foregoing obvious beachy motifs in favour of timber beams, stucco walls and rattan details. A few flashes of greenery, in the form of potted palms and succulents, completes the look.
Milk Beach Soho, which is located on Manette Street serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails, with a distinct Asian influence on the menu. Think Szechuan aubergine and Gochujang prawn toast with a sake sour.
