Punta Mita’s Casa Koko is a zen, beachfront villa designed by local architects Juan Collignon and Manolo Mestre, with interior designer Karen Collignon.

Barefoot guests can move freely from grass to soft stone, polished wood and onto sand through this open-concept villa, inspired by the Japanese Wabi Sabi philosophy that there is beauty in imperfection.

Driftwood, old artefacts and even a canoe found washed up on the beach juxtapose contemporary finishes and modern technology.

Casa Koko is available to rent direct starting from $9,300 and sleeps up to 22 guests across nine bedrooms, with the master suites enjoying vistas across the Pacific Ocean.

The Mexican holiday home has an onsite spa, fitness centre, jacuzzi and infinity pool and guests have access to Punta Mita’s two Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses. A private chef and concierge are also on hand to take care of all the little details.
