In what marks its fourth opening in the city, Aesop has launched a new shop in Berlin’s Kurfürstendamm.

Located on the ground floor of the Azimut Hotel, the retail space echoes the geometric forms and functional design that marked out the Bauhaus movement.

Aside from the blue floor, the store is muted in colour, instead prioritising the texture of exposed brick, wax panels – rescued from a Paris beauty store – and a gridded ceiling. Products are displayed on rows of minimal cabinets arranged next to a curving seating area.

Aesop’s in-house design team have had a busy few years, with the Kurfürstendamm store the latest in a long line of Aesop openings, including Rome and New York, and a new space set to open in Glasgow later this year.
