Bridgehampton’s Six Square House has opened as a gallery space for design retailer VERSO’s latest instalment of nomadic shows.

Work by 25 designers, hailing from across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas, has taken up residence in the experimental home, designed by Young Projects and made up of six gabled modules that riff on the agricultural forms.

The Long Island property now serves as the backdrop for experimental lighting design, textiles, furniture and artworks – all presented under the aegis of VERSO, a ‘travelling’ design gallery and showroom based in Tribeca and focused on one-off and limited edition pieces.

The show is entitled Bridge, and it ‘serve[s] as a catalyst for innovation by celebrating the often unseen links between aesthetics and unique techniques and traditions of making’, says the gallery.

Six Square House is the first iteration of the initiative and is open on an appointment-only basis on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until 23 September 2023. Get an armchair view of the show, and Six Square’s architecture, in the gallery above.
