This Topanga Canyon vacation home isn’t your traditional ‘treehouse’

It’s an elevated experience, literally and figuratively, at this wood-lined holiday rental perched high above Los Angeles’ Topanga Canyon.

While billed as a treehouse, this Cali holiday home’s clean lines and minimalist interiors speak to a different aesthetic. There’s little of the rustic to be found, with rooms sparsely but strategically decorated with modern design pieces, verdant plant life, and wooden cladding that soaks up the sun at golden hour.

Living spaces are spread across the vacation home’s three levels, and there are several outdoor spaces – including an upper terrace with a pair of strikingly sculptural wooden loungers. The canyon views are best enjoyed from this vantage, though big windows and sliding doors mean there’s a connection to the outdoors at every turn.

The three-bedroom Topanga property is available via Airbnb, starting at around $780 a night, with the option to book a private yoga session in the home’s studio.
