Dreamy rooms of Instagram. Although I really don’t know why we use that word so wistfully – dreams are usually super weird. I dreamt last night that I was forced to run a YouTube channel based solely on freezing objects in jello. The dream randos kept yelling at me that I had to be perky while chatting incessantly. It was awful. I would really have preferred a channel reviewing the best plunge pools to lounge in while eating fish tacos and drinking Modelo. Because I might be able to muster perky chatter for that kind of content.

EVE. Auguste Rodin 1881. What luck to catch her bathed in sunlight perfectly positioned at the curve of the staircase. Bauhaus University, Weimar. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Whenever I see Rodin, I immediately think of a quote from a sculptor that I have immense admiration for. “Nothing grows well in the shade of a big tree.” Constantin Brancusi said this upon taking leave of his job as Rodin’s studio assistant. Tskaltubo hotel, Tskaltubo, Georgia

Georgia 2.0 // Fit For Royalty This central Tskaltubo hotel was a spot that I tried to visit in 2018 and earlier this year, most times I was out of luck – including in April when the Prime Minister of Georgia held a conference in this very theatre. The former Soviet theatre is a small part of Tskaltubo, but a part that was thankfully saved.
