The Seven is a NYC jewellery store masquerading as an antique shop

Blake Brunson crafted its whimsical interiors

It might resemble the home of an enthusiastic collector, but this busy West Village space is really a jewellery boutique.

Founder Camille Zarsky has filled the store with antiques and art pieces, lending it an eclectic appearance miles from the minimalism you might expect. On The Seven’s Instagram profile, she describes it as a ‘jewel box experience’.

Blake Brunson designed the interiors of the West Village retail space, bringing in hand-painted floral wallpaper by Gracie – decked out in intricate flowers and images of Zarsky’s beloved dogs – as well as hand-painted floors by Zarah Hussain, who’s known for her geometric artworks. Eras and styles clash joyously at The Seven, with velvet, fringed upholstery and gilt furniture lending everything a sense of decadence.

Although the store offers one-of-a-kind pieces sourced from around the world, its main focus is fine jewellery – much of it made for The Seven. These pieces can be admired from a private, pink viewing room.
