A real-life replica of Vincent Van Gogh’s ‘Bedroom in Arles’ painting is now available to rent on Airbnb.
The Art Institute of Chicago has recreated the artist’s iconic French chambre – from the hues of the wall to the wooden furniture depicted in the painting – to coincide with its upcoming exhibition, ‘Van Gogh’s Bedrooms’.
According to the Airbnb listing, written as if penned by Van Gogh himself, the bedroom will accommodate two people and cost $10 a night ‘for no other reason than that I need to buy paint’.
The bedroom is fully booked for February but the museum says more dates will be made available.
Guests will also receive free tickets for the exhibition, which kicks off on 14 February and runs until 10 May.
