The island of Mykonos is known for its stunning beaches and buzzing summer atmosphere. Fitting then it’s host to the first Soho House outpost in Greece, which has thrown open its sun-bleached doors above the rocky Cycladic coastline.
Soho Roc House at San Giorgio sees Scorpios and the adjacent hotel welcomed into the Soho House fold with its interiors given a top-to-toe makeover by the Soho House design team with a clean, pure and natural aesthetic.
The Cycladic hotel hunkers down between Paradise and Paraga beaches, and has just 45 bedrooms which start from €165. Each hones a beach-vibe via polished plaster floors and warm plaster finishes. Wooden furnishings, linen fabrics and ceramic lamps create a relaxed atmosphere while plants add bursts of colour and bring the outdoors in.
At the heart of the Soho Roc House is the Pool Bar – an outdoor lounge furnished with Moroccan-style floor cushions and Greek textiles and set with stone floors and long grass.
In the age of COVID-19, health and safety measures are paramount, meaning that capacity has been reduced at the clubhouse, and social distancing measures put in place. Beyond that, there’s a strong wellness bent to the space, which features an outdoor gym and separate massage hut, monthly programme of mind and body workshops, rustic restaurant and smoothie bar.
