We’ve joined forces with photography platform EyeEm to uncover ‘secret spaces’ across the globe – through your lens.
We would like you to share photographs of hidden gems you’ve discovered in your hometown and beyond. Submit them by 23 April and we’ll share the best on The Spaces. Architectural photographer Fred Guillaud will pick three winners.
Your ‘secret spaces’ could be anything from a quiet courtyard tucked away from the hustle of the city, to a little-known shop filled with treasures, to an old ruin overrun by nature. It could even be your own home.
We’d like you to take us on a voyage of discovery.
How to take part in The Secret Spaces mission
From 12 April until 23 April 2017, we invite you to upload your photos to the EyeEm community using the tag ‘The Secret Spaces’. We will feature the best entries in an editorial story on The Spaces, and photographer Fred Guillaud will pick three grand winners.
About Fred Guillaud
Grenoble-born Guillaud is a photographer, architect and teacher living in Barcelona. He shoots exclusively on film, capturing overlooked spaces in urban realms, which he imbues with a richness and serenity. ‘My work is shaped as a diary,’ he says. ‘Its aim is to question and understand the rôle of architecture and its relationship with our society.’
Guillard trained in France and Canada, before settling in Barcelona, where he has lived for the last 15 years. His works have been exhibited everywhere from Düsseldorf to Detroit.
