Kanye West’s YEEZY Home Calabasas project has been demolished. That’s according to a report from TMZ about the controversial housing experiment, which was given a 15 September deadline by the city to obtain the correct building permits or be torn down.

Four of the Star Wars-inspired dome homes have already been razed, with the rest following suit ahead of the impending cut-off date.

The prototype project initially drew the ire of local residents with West’s construction crew supposedly working around the clock and allegedly contravening strict workday building regulations. Then cops were eventually earlier in the month to deal with noise complaints, at which point it was discovered that YEEZY Home had failed to obtain the correct permits for the domes’ concrete foundations.

It remains unclear whether the project is being abandoned, or will restart at a later date.
