Rawan Muqaddas and Selma Akkari channelled the golden age of American diners for the retro-tinted restaurant Juno.
Located in Doha’s Alwaab, the bistro is designed to be a ‘neighbourhood neo-diner’, tapping into people’s nostalgia through interiors that are a mix of classic Italian restaurants and Americana.
Wood panelling emphasises Juno’s high ceilings, while light floods in through the restaurant’s folding windows – glinting off a wall of glass bricks borrowed from a bygone design era.
The vintage choices continue via Juno’s terrazzo flooring, wood-framed banquettes, and its brown-and-green colour scheme. Chrome-wrapped cafe tables take diners back to memories of space-age age diners.
