The private art collection of late Pritzker Prize-winning architect I M Pei and his wife, Eileen, is to be auctioned off by Christie’s – including works by Henry Moore, Barnett Newman and Zao Wou-ki.

The collection was amassed throughout their 72-year marriage and will embark on a global tour before sales are held in New York and Hong Kong in November and Paris in December. Some 59 works will go under the hammer, with Christie’s anticipating the works to be worth over $25m.

Highlights include two canvases by Newman, Untitled 4 and Untitled 5, estimated at $8m and $5m respectively, as well as works by Franz Kline, Willem de Kooning and Isamu Noguchi.

Pei died earlier this year at the age of 102.
