Holiday home of the week: A modern villa hidden in the Costa Rican rainforest

Where the jungle meets the sea

Ocean Villa by Costa Rican architect Benjamin Garcia Saxe combines the best of jungle living with sea views.

The holiday home, which sleeps ten and is available to rent from £7,000 a week via The Modern House, is set into a foliage-clad jungle slope, its elevation providing views over the white sands of Santa Teresa towards the Pacific ocean.

Inside the Costa Rican holiday home, an austere colour palette of white and brown is offset by canny interior planting. A highlight is the master bathroom with its stone tub set within a lush tropical wilderness.
