A ‘flying’ clifftop home has hit the market for 9.95m SEK in Trosa, located just outside Stockholm.
The gravity-defying, cantilevered home was designed by Trigueiros Architects in 2016 and perches on stilts on a rocky mountain plot, looking out towards the archipelago. The practice has put a contemporary spin on the simple ‘box’-style home while treading as lightly as possible on the natural stony terrain.
Svartviksvägen 41 A’s facade is clad in Siberian larch wood with zinc and graphite grey steel details that help bed it into the landscape. Huge windows frame views of the water, while interiors – styled by Stockholm-based firm Sson & Hed – feature crisp white walls and whitewashed oak floors.
A huge balcony spans the entire eastern facade of the four-bedroom Swedish property, which is on the market via Fastighetsbyran, to catch views of the sunrise. It also has access to the beach, as well as its own pier and sauna.
