Buck Studio chose a different colour for every room of this split-level restaurant in Warsaw, dubbed Opasły Tom.
The corrugated walls of the modern Polish eatery are covered in green, blue and peach-coloured velvet. Buck has used contrasting textures throughout the interiors, pairing white subway tiles with wood panelling in the stairway, and red marble tabletops with floral wallpaper in the private dining room.
Long glass pendants with shades in varying sizes and shapes hang in every room, emphasising Opasły Tom’s high ceilings. Diners in the Warsaw restaurant’s main hall can enjoy views of the city’s historic architecture, framed by long blue curtains and reflected in floor-length mirrors.
And those with a keen eye might be able to spot some of the smaller o-shaped details, sprinkled across the restaurant – a nod to the haunt’s name, which means ‘fat volume’ in Polish.
