This architect-designed one-bedroom cabin champions the spirit of Le Corbusier’s beloved Cabanon in Cap Ferret, southwest France.

The 49 sq m pied-a-terre is listed with Espaces Atypique for €500,000 and is located on Cap Ferret Road, near Canon. The French property designed by an unnamed Parisian architecture studio, who renovated an earlier 1980s cabin on the site and have refashioned it to create a living room and kitchen on the lower level, with a mezzanine bedroom above.

Interiors are wrapped in blonde plywood, with polished concrete floors and stainless steel and ply cabinetry in the kitchen. A large window has been built into the roof’s pitch to illuminate the upper level, and the cabin opens onto a 14 sq m terrace on the ground level.

The Cap Ferret cabin is steps from the Arcachon basin, with the fishing village of Canon also nearby.
