Modern Shed has released a towable prefab cabin, complete with a gable roof and wood-burning stove.

The DW, short for Dwelling on Wheels, follows the same low maintenance, sustainability-focused philosophy as Modern Shed’s other prefab buildings. It’s designed for off-grid use, with solar panels on the roof and a stove for staying warm on cold nights (although double insulation also helps). The cabin is delivered ready to be hooked up to water tanks or a composting unit.

Timber panels and sustainable lino flooring wrap around the interiors, which sleep three. For owners planning to park their DW in a scenic spot, the glazed end and an optional extra back terrace offer spots to take in the view. The floor plan can also be customised to turn the space into a home office, and prices are available on application.
