There was a phosphorescent twist to Saint Laurent’s AW19 show in Paris yesterday as models trotted down a mirrored runway wearing glow in the dark shoes, dresses and sunglasses.
Creative director Anthony Vaccarello kept the lights low for the dazzling display, which was staged inside the Fontaine du Trocadero in the capital. The runway set was a mirrored box, built with two-way glass and light rods, and drenched in UV light.

The fashion house’s iconic le smoking jacket was present, as were military-style wool overcoats, sequinned jackets with big shoulders and zebra and cheetah-print skirts.
