Paris has a new literary hub courtesy of Saint Laurent, which has opened a gallery and shop dedicated to books, records and magazines.

Named Saint Laurent Babylone, the bookstore is equal parts minimal and industrial, with sleek marble counters butting up against metal shelving and weathered concrete walls.

The label’s creative director, Anthony Vaccarello, has been hands-on with the store, carefully selecting what’s on display – which runs the gamut from vintage Rive Droite editions published by Saint Laurent through to archival furniture and rare books that can only be opened while wearing gloves.

Events, readings, DJ and listening sets are programmed for the Rue de Grenelle space, open from Wednesday to Sunday.
