Soho House hasn’t skimped on the details at the 1960s-inspired Mollie’s Motel & Diner, which offers Egyptian cotton sheets and rainforest showers for only £50 a night in Oxfordshire.
Guests at the Buckland bolthole can enjoy a menu of American diner classics – including plant-based options for non-meat eaters – at the motel, diner and drive-thru, which turned on its neon sign last week.
Mollie’s was created in collaboration with Quentin Restaurants an attempt at ‘reinventing the British roadside experience’, says Soho House founder Nick Jones. It has 79 guest rooms, and a General Store lounge with free wi-fi, tea and coffee. There are also everyday essentials, such as charging cables and skincare products, available to borrow.
