The former home of British novelist Martin Amis has hit the market in London for £7.5m – including his garden writing studio.
Amis shared the five-bedroom Primrose Hill dwelling with his author wife, Isabel Fonseca, and their children from 1995 until he famously quit the UK for New York in 2010, according to The Evening Standard.
The stucco-fronted townhouse has been give a complete overhaul by its current owners, who enlisted interiors practice Stiff + Trevillion to oversee the renovations. Original features, including floor-to-ceiling windows, fireplaces and mouldings have been retained, while a double-height space has been created above the kitchen and dining room up to the mezzanine level library.
Stiff + Trevillion also updated the London property’s garden, which contains a skylit room where the Money author wrote some of his most controversial titles in the 2000s.
The London property – on the market via YOPA – has views of nearby Regent’s Park, and is close to Primrose Hill Village.
