Hand-laid stone and deep-green shutters set the tone for this historic Mallorca townhouse, shaped by the village’s terraced topography and centuries-old craft. Its façade sits within a rhythm of masonry and timber, resting on rounded retaining walls that visually tether the house to the mountainside. Inside, the home reveals a classic three-level plan of around 145sqm, each floor unfolding with original architecture softened by time. Called Es Penyal, it is currently listed at €1.5m with Fantastic Frank.

Timber beams, textured plaster and stone thresholds define the interior while rustic double doors on the ground level open towards first glimpses of the sea. A living area leads to an angled kitchen, with the bathroom positioned at the rear. A sculptural staircase with a wrought-iron balustrade threads the levels together. The first floor comprises three rooms washed in soft Mediterranean light, their terracotta floors and wooden shutters reflecting an older Mallorcan sensibility. Above, the top level rises to generous ceiling heights, its whitewashed surfaces and exposed beams creating an airy, almost gallery-like volume.

The property extends across 4,311sqm of historic terraces, including a traditional water reservoir used as a natural pool. Set in the upper reaches of Es Penyal village, the home overlooks Banyalbufar’s UNESCO-listed landscape.
