With a menu of lox and latkes alongside meatball melts, Larry’s is a slice of the Big Apple in the heart of south London.
Guests sit at orange laminate tables, beneath the sounds of a vintage Celestion Ditton sound system. A row of reclaimed bright green Eames chairs adds to the London restaurant’s lived-in atmosphere – designed by Gundry + Ducker and intended to reference the heyday of the 1970s.
Breakfast means a pastry or Babka grabbed off Larry’s marble benchtop while deli-style sandwiches are made to order at lunchtime. Larry’s dinner menu samples New York’s many cuisines, with sharing plates including pig’s head ragu and devilled crab. For dessert, there’s a daily cheesecake offering and homemade gelato.
