Pretty Poke! For Maku, a restaurant serving the Hawaiian signature dish in Cancun, Mexiko, local architecture studio @wewi.studio came up with this calm interior scheme juxtaposing soft wood and curved lines with a raw industrial look. The studio's founders Patricio Manzo Díaz and Paloma Flores Herrero chose to work with local materials, which is why the used Chukum, a plaster made from tree resin, for the walls and Bojon wood, a tree from the region, for the tables and chairs. Evoking the tropical climate of Hawaii, the duo introduced large plants growing out of large concrete pots featuring a colour gradient echoing the islands' landscape. ? by @cesarbejarstudio
