To live in the historic town centre of Soller, tucked between Mallorca’s Tramuntana mountain range and the pretty northwest coast, is a rare opportunity. To do so in a quintessential 1890s townhouse, modernised with a designer’s eye, is beyond. Casa Calma brings all the elements of Mallorcan architectural heritage together in one space: original patterned floors, antique stone, 3.6-metre ceilings, a mature garden, all beautifully maintained. A 2021-22 restoration brought in contemporary amenities and crisp, new upholsteries to live within those old bones.

The approximately 550sqm plan unfolds across multiple levels, moving from a formal entrance into a library with an art deco fireplace and hydraulic tiles. Iron doors open onto a Mediterranean courtyard planted with jasmine, lemon and bougainvillea, arranged around granite paving. An oak-and-stone kitchen fitted with Smeg appliances connects directly to the garden, while the main salon above opens to a terrace with views toward the mountains.

Six bedrooms are arranged across the upper floors, each with an en-suite bathroom freshly updated with Moroccan tiles and brass fittings. Microcement floors and high ceilings maintain consistency throughout, while a roof terrace looks across the town. Handmade double-glazed windows, air conditioning and insulation support year-round use.

The property, close to Sant Bartomeu Church and Sóller’s historic square, holds a Turismo de Interior license, so the building can operate as a boutique hotel or revert to private use. Contact Berrow Projects for more information.
