Graffiti artist Shepard Fairey puts his 1920s LA home up for sale

Shepard Fairey – the street artist behind Obama’s 2008 ‘Hope’ portrait – is selling his Spanish Revival home in Los Angeles.

The artist has put the 1929 property in Los Feliz, near Griffith Park, on the market for $1.84 million. His 2,500 sq ft house comes with four bedrooms as well as his old studio space – set in a two-car garage – which still has some of his old sketches affixed to the wall.

Original features in the Mediterranean-style home includes arched beam ceilings in the living room as well as steps and archways decorated with geometric patterns.

Shepard, who also founded the Obey clothing brand, bought the property in 2005 but has since moved to another part of Los Feliz.

The home is on sale via Sotheby’s Los Feliz.
