Models walked along a grid-like runway dotted with nude images of 88-year-old artist Tomaso Binga for Dior’s AW19 show in Paris.

The artist – who’s also known as Bianca Pucciarelli Menna – photographed herself naked in letter-like poses, later assembling the images to spell out one of her poems at the Musée Rodin, where the show took place.

‘Words are a very important source of inspiration to me,’ Maria Grazia Chiuri, the label’s artistic director told Vogue. ‘Books aren’t like a film where everything is defined, when you read, you dream.’

Chiuri’s AW19 collection featured plaid skirts and jackets, as well as patent bucket hats and boxy jackets inspired by vintage photos of Teddy Girls.
