A crowdfunding campaign has been launched to save the Golden Pudel, the famed Hamburg club whose building is to be auctioned off in April.
The Indiegogo campaign has been launched by Electronic Beats editor Michael Aniser, and aims to purchase the club and put it under community control. The campaign is looking for €800,000 to secure the venue, which is currently valued at €510,000 on German real estate website ImmobilienScout24.
The former smugglers’ prison has long been one of Germany’s most loved nightclubs, with a team of respected resident DJs that includes Helena Hauff, but the venue has been subject to an ongoing legal battle between the building’s dual owners for the past few years.
