Mutant vehicles have descended upon desert extravaganza Burning Man festival in Nevada’s Black Rock City.
The bizarre fleet of motorised artworks have become one of the annual festival’s major draws, and every year the offerings are bigger, bolder and brasher.
Made from anything and everything, these movable beasts are registered with the festival’s Department of Mutant Vehicles, which stipulates that they must ‘shows little or no resemblance to their original form, or to any standard street vehicle’.
When it comes to looks, the more radical the better for these art cars, as this year’s crop of mutant vehicles attests… Our favourites include a Game of Thrones-esque dragon, an amoeba-like RV and a serpent-headed bug mobile among others. Which gets your vote?
