Blake Millar-designed modernist home hits the market in Toronto

With leafy ravine views

This modernist Toronto home by Canadian architect Blake Millar takes its cues from the works of Frank Lloyd Wright and has dramatic ravine views.

Millar designed 80 North Drive in Etobicoke in 1973 reportedly as a homage to Wright’s iconic Falling Water. The four-bedroom dwelling unfolds over two levels, with floor-to-ceiling glass walls used throughout to capture views of silver creek ravine.

The Toronto property is on the market via realtor Anna Vujovic for $5.8m CAD and has been updated, including the addition of a chef-grade kitchen. However, it retains its modernist character via exposed beams, walnut and yew panelling and rich Brazilian teak floors.

Glass sliding doors open onto a large terrace with swimming pool, while the master bedroom suite peeks out across the tree canopy. The lower level also houses a home gym and yoga studio for wellness enthusiasts.
