Serbian designer Roksanda Ilinčić presented her latest collection under a wealth of neon coloured netting created by the London-based artist Rana Begum.

In a work inspired by the fishermen on flooded rice fields in her native Bangladesh, Begum painted and stretched the vividly coloured, high tensile material between the granite walls of Durbar Court, the Matthew Digby Wyatt-designed courtyard at the heart of the India Building which houses the British Foreign Office.

Set against the granite grandeur of their surroundings, Begum’s neon coloured nets offset Ilinčić’s signature flowing silhouettes in more muted shades of purples, browns and greens.

‘Art and architecture is the starting point of all of my collections,’ Ilinčić told Wallpaper*, ‘and it’s such an honour to have all those wonderful people around me who I’ve been collaborating with to help me to tell my story.’
