This curvaceous contemporary home is an unexpected find in rural Durham. Designed by local architect Terry Greenwell, it sits on the edge of an ancient woodland close to Brancepeth Castle.
Called Waterside, the 3,800 sq ft house has Brancepeth Beck flowing below it. The building spans three levels and features a vast, glazed facade, soaring 5m-tall winter garden atrium and five bedrooms.
The property also has an additional roof terrace with views out over the surrounding woodland, as well as half an acre of mature gardens.
