Batman superfans with deep pockets can get their hands on the ultimate memorabilia to mark the Caped Crusader’s 85th anniversary: a driveable, limited-edition replica of the Batmobile Tumbler, as featured in The Dark Knight trilogy.
Wayne Enterprises (which specialises in curating real-life experiences inspired by Bruce Wayne’s billionaire lifestyle and is licensed by DC Comics and its parent company, Warner Bros.) has partnered with Action Vehicle Engineering to create the limited run of 10 Batmobile Tumblers, each priced at $2.99m. Built to scale, they’ll be faithful recreations of the original Tumbler from Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, iconic for its distinctive angular shape, created using parts from model cars, boats, and planes.
The replica Tumblers will have a body made from Kevlar, carbon fibre, and sheet metal fibreglass and will be powered by a 6.2-litre LS3 V-8 engine with 525 horsepower and a 4L85E paddle-shift transmission. Additional features include a smokescreen delivery system, mock gun turrets, stainless steel headers, and advanced software upgrades, but no missile launcher.
Bespoke seating, one-way mirrored glass screens, and an original-style dashboard are inside.
The Batmobile Tumbler isn’t technically street-legal, but it’s not intended for the school run. Instead, it’s the ultimate collectable for car collectors and Batman enthusiasts. Sales are by invitation only, with delivery scheduled 15 months from the date of deposit.
