Ecocapsule’s SPACE cabin brings a decided retro-futurist feeling to the prefab market, thanks to its smooth, fibreglass exterior.

The tiny ovoid capsule can be installed in most locations and includes the option for solar panels – meaning it can be used as an off-grid retreat. There are 6.3 metres of space inside, offering just enough room to sleep two. If that feels cosy, Ecocapsule suggests SPACE can also be used as a home office in the garden.

The basic version of the pod – which starts at €49,900 – includes built-in plywood cabinets and linear LED lighting – which adds to the space age atmosphere – but buyers can work together with Ecocapsule to add more furniture or customise it to their needs. SPACE can also be installed alongside the original Ecocapsule, as an extra guest room, or as part of a bigger campsite of pods.
