A trio of modern barn-inspired homes have hit the market in the heart of Rutland—England’s smallest historic county.
The first phase of Residences by Woolfox, the properties at No1 Woolfox Mews are built using locally sourced Stamford stone, larch cladding, and aluminium roofs. They borrow the silhouette of a traditional country barn and span from 3,000 sq ft, with the residencies available in four or five-bedroom configurations.
The trio of completed houses starts from £1.6m, with five further plots available from £585,000. Each comes with planning permission and an on-site team of builders and developers, and buyers can choose from one of three architectural designs: The Long Barn, The Double Barn, or The Barn House.
Each dwelling sits on its own plot overlooking an 18-hole golf course, lakes, and woodlands. On the ground floor, the main living space, kitchen, and dining areas wrap around the garden, visible through full-height sliding and bi-fold doors.
‘We have designed the spaces to work as second homes,’ says Woolfox CEO Chris Riddle. ‘We wanted them to be instantly relaxing whilst also flexible for guests with an abundance of space for entertaining. The outdoor terraces feel part of the buildings due to the large, glazed doors which can be opened to bring the outside in. ‘
Woolfox is minutes from the Georgian market town of Stamford and the shores of Rutland Water Reservoir.
