Completed in the 1990s deep within a wooded plot in Mérignac, outside Bordeaux, this house is composed of two polygonal volumes. The central entrance serves as a connection point; it expands into a study and separates the living and sleeping areas, all decorated in De Stijl-inspired primary colour.

The main, double-height living space opens wide to the surrounding landscape. A pine structure is expressed through three substantial beams, rising to a peak marked by triangular windows. Timber panelling lines the interior. A built-in elm bench sits alongside a suspended Ergofocus fireplace, positioned in front of a large fixed window.
The kitchen remains open to the living space, combining black metal, bronze glass and ceramic surfaces. A stair with a green metal stringer and elm treads leads to a mezzanine overlooking the room, with additional space for flexible use. Three bedrooms are arranged at ground level and share a bathroom, with a separate utility space completing the plan.
Archik currently has the property listed for €580,000 .
