This farmhouse in Sweden’s Nynäshamn might be a little rough around the edges but it packs in plenty of rustic charm.

The secluded country property lies at the end of a winding dirt track near the town of Trollsta, and is set on a 1.6-acre rural plot surrounded by meadows and dotted with fruit trees.

Interiors need a spruce but there’s lots to work with, including wooden beams and soaring ceilings.

Solid wooden floorboards and whitewashed timber walls and ceilings run throughout the main residence. It has a woodburning stove and a fireplace in the living room, and pair of loft bedrooms in the upper level.

As well as the main home, the site includes a workshop, a huge barn – part of which has been converted into a studio flat – and a separate riverside guesthouse, with a tiny sleeping loft.
A further building, currently being used as a ceramics studio, offers extra workshop space.

The Swedish property – which is listed with HusmanHagberg – is a 30-minute drive from Stockholm.
