The three-bedroom Seattle property is on the market via Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty for $1.738m, and the practice has incorporated Fort Ward’s 1904 control station into its linear design.

A concrete garage has been aligned with the bunker, to create the base of the house, with living spaces set in a row above. The double-height lounge, which opens onto an outside deck, has floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.
Brazilian cherry wood has been used across its interiors, and a steel and timber staircase connects to the bedroom floor above.
