Rural off-grid living gets souped at E-glamp – a smart tech modular eco-cabin designed to boost tourism in rural Italy.
The tiny eco-house is powered by solar energy panels and links to e-biking networks through smart home technology.
Its recharging station encourages cyclists to explore the surrounding landscape without adding to their carbon footprint, especially in remote rural areas, wineries and farms.
E-glamp’s modular design is constructed with sustainable, certified materials timber, and the cabin’s smart home system integrates with phones for check-ins, local trail maps and business recommendations.
The interior is outfitted simply with raw timber panels, a bed and coat hooks, and rainwater harvesting and recycling.
Though the E-glamp is yet to be widely rolled out, it is up for a Green Concept Awards 2021.
