London restaurant Socca is a tribute to ‘whimsical Riviera styling’

It might be housed in one of London’s most quintessential red brick buildings, but the atmosphere at Socca is firmly rooted in Cote d’Azur hospitality.

Fabled Studio designed the Mayfair restaurant, sketching out interiors that are inspired by ‘Southern French cuisine and whimsical Riviera styling’. Parquet flooring and crisp white tablecloths feel defiantly traditional, as do the ruched fabric table dividers and the brass lamps.

However, there are also some lighter, more playful touches that come via powder blue dining armchairs and wall lights shaped like giant seashells. Fabled Studio has added hand-painted blue details to the walls that channel Cocteau vibes,  hung with artworks that also echo the Riviera theme.

On Socca’s bistro menu is its eponymous socca flatbread, served alongside pasta, fish, meat and some provençal classics.
